OK, lets go!
I’m amazed, I’m in…I am officially a blogger now. It feels like I have just gone through some postmodern rite of passage.
As the name suggests, I have named the blog after my new book, not because it is the only thing I am going to write about (I hope I won’t be as monomanical as that), but because I do hope to make it some sort of rallying point for discussion around recovering af genuine apostolic movement ethos and practice for the 21st Century. The new book is precisely that, it is an exploration into the dynamics of world-changing movements as well as an attempt to activate this in the West.
To get a feel for what the book is all about go to http://www.theforgottenways.org/ . Go to the endorsements section on the right side and scroll down the list. Not only am I totally rapped at the reception that I have recieved, but I believe the reviewers have really understood what I have attempted to do in this work.
The expected publishing date is December. but the book can be pre-ordered by the usual means (Amazon.com, Christianbooks.com, Barnes and Noble etc.) If I can work out how to use the upload section of Wordpress, I will post a special half-price ($10) offer by the publisher, Brazos Press. For Aussie and Kiwi readers, the book will retail for Aus$20 through the normal distribution channels.
I am genuinely excited about what I have discovered over the last few years, and I do hope it will be useful to God’s people as we attempt to negotiate the complexities of the 21st Century.
Lets go!

Alan, let me be one of the first to welcome you to the community of bloggers. Great people here in the blogosphere.
Looking forward to your post and the new book.
nice to meet you, alan. I’ll be back.
Hey Alan,
Glad to see you here! I found another copy of that DVD you wanted.
Cheers!
Fantastic Al! Just remind everyone that this is not the way the blog will look - it’s getting a skin the same as the site! I look forward to reading more of your wisdom and thoughts mate!
Congratulations and welcome to the blogosphere - hold on, it gets bumpy
Welcome Alan in the wonderful world of the blogosphere.

a big welcome from Malaysia (Asia)
any freebies for us here?
Hey Alan,
Good to see you blogging. A friend and I attended the Missio conference at Fuller - enjoyed it immensely. Great to be able to hear more from you on a continual basis. Hey - you have not “graduated” to true postmodern until you do a podcast!!! Ha.

Welcome to blogdom.
I’ve been hoping you would do this for awhile.
Im excited to see you’ve begun.
Hiya mate.
Glad to see that you are sharing more of your journey in cyberspace. Am looking forward to getting and reading your new book. I recall with much fondness our journey with IMT as we shared much of this. It has been empowering to me in my work with students at Birmingham Christian College and in the Churches of Christ network here in the UK.
I am hoping to join the bloging world soon, so watch this space.
Keep risking, keep living dangerously, keep following Jesus.
Blessings!
Alan, welcome to the blogosphere. Now we just have to work on thawing out Frosty
One comment. You said, “It feels like I have just gone through some postmodern rite of passage,” but it’s worth noting that the modernists are out here too.
Looking forward to interacting further. I’ve linked you up at eclectic itchings btw.

Hey man. I am glad to have found your blog. It wasn’t easy. Perhaps you need to associate it more with your name for those of us who are trying to track you down.
If you wanna see my take on ‘church’ then drop by my blog.
