I and a colleague Lance Ford, are developing a fantastic online training course using a ‘learning cafe’ environment. It will be a great resource for missional/apostolic leadership. Seriously, I have just been introduced to the technology involved and I have honestly never seen anything like it. There is a virtual classroom with data projection, whitebaord, discussion forums, video conferencing for up to 16 people, resource bank, etc. We expect to get hundreds of leaders around the world interacting around the content of The Forgotten Ways, but with reference to tons of other texts and resources. This is a must for leaders wanting to delve into movements as well as apostolic ministry.
We expect to launch the first cohorts to be in Feb ‘07. So keep checking this page for details! If you want to actively register your interest in the course, just let Lance know on lncford (at) yahoo (dot) com and we will keep in touch.
Here is a basic flyer on the event. Send it on to interested people if you wish.

That is super exciting. I can’t wait for this book. David and I have talked for years about the apostolic and are really looking forward to someone with a voice speaking in a missional context.
This learning cafe sounds fantastic!
This does sound fantastic! I’m encouraged to see the potential in this. For what this could provide for the more isolated individuals who are trying to understand incarnational/messianic/apostolic faith, but who don’t have any IMA communities around to engage with.
Thanks guys for the feedback. Also glad you’re back Mak!
I am very excited about this possibility because this technology overcomes the personal distance that often accompanies online forums. Its like you are there in the room with one another, and everyone can fully participate. Amazing. Next thing is to have full sim suits in a virtual environment so we can experience the whole deal.
SIM suits…hehe
yeah
course looks good… what’s six fitty in oz dollars? i could prob look that up myself… just lazy!
look forward to finding out more.
peace
I am excited to hear more about this….please continue to tease us with further tidbits!
It would be really great to have some organized discussion around these topics…especially with practitioners and soon-to-be’s.
I am really looking forward to your book and the discussion that i am sure is to happen here.
