dangerous stories II downloads

Man, we had a great weekend! I know its always the case when the camp is over and everone had bonded they tend to cry when they part, and its true, I do feel a little that way. But something significant did transpire for the Aussie church this weekend. It was our Forge DGII summit, and it rocked. We all felt a great sense of comradeship and a sense that God was calling us to mature, to develop some spiritual muscle, to grow up and get beyond being ‘cool’ to being genuinely radical.

It was also my commissioning to wider , and more international, ministry on behalf of Forge Mission Training Network. I am now offocially what we call ‘founding director’, A sort of roving ambassador/custodian with Andrew Hamilton taking the role of Aussie director assisted by Kim Hammond (internship and training) and Mark Sayers (ideation/R+D). I must admit to being a tad emtional about it all, but most of all I feel proud to be part of this amazing tribe. In this blog I publically give thanks to God for all he has done.

Well done too for the Vic Forge team (led by Kim and Maria Hammond) for making this event sing. And thanks to all who came along (including Celtic Son, Janet, and other regulars of this site). I trust it was a great time for you all as well. Bummer for those who didn’t! You missed out. :-) If you are interested in getting the DVD’s and audio’s of the event, just go to idearipple and order. Also, you can download some of the talks on Forge WA website here. Here is one of the talks I did with all the interns.

Tuck in!

Darn, I wish I’d known… I would have liked to have met Celtic Son in person, so to speak. Hi CS… love your work!

It was an awesome weekend Al… I feel God’s Spirit is resting on me and stirring me up from all I learned and received.

Get hold of the stuff guys… wonderful, wonderful teaching.

I would have come along…last year I got the discount because I was coming from Qld…it was great because you got more of a discount the further you had to travel. So of course I was looking forward to the huge discount for those coming from Kazakhstan. You could imagine the disappointment when I discovered that, not only was there no 98% discount, but no provision at all for those coming from the land of Borat!

Hey Alan I was just commenting to Alex McManus how much his thinking reminds me of your thinking and vice versa, you guys really need to get together when you are in the States, boy some dangerous stories could emerge from that meeting of minds!

Steve, there was a discount for the Northern Queendom. You should have come bro.

And James, we have been trying to do that for a while. Perhaps later this year when I am in Sugerland.

James, great minds think alike… I have suggested that Erwin or Alex would be great speakers for the next summit! If they come does that mean you will too?

Alan, I think Steve was just messing with you… ;) since he said he is now in Kazakhstan…

Glad to hear that you had a great time. I’ve downloaded some of the talks to the interns and look forward to listening to them.

Good to have you back…the blog has been strangely quiet these past days.

Steve’s blog says he is in Kazakhstan… I’m confused! Maybe we need to add a Kazakhstani rate for DS3! ;)

I know you’re not Jewish, but I am deputizing you as a Jew as of now. Watch out! :-)

Hi All, I just wanted to say how blessed I was to share with you all at DS2. For a Youth Pastor in an atteactional church and struggling to find meaning, it was a deep breath of fresh air. Thankyou to all of the speakersorganisers/etc.
