pure gold. i had Frosty as a lecturer at Morling College. it was such a privelege to learn from him.

Mak! Thanks for the compliment. But I got to tell you doing gigs with Mike is pretty daunting.

Hope you, Dave, and the kiddos are well.

wanna know a secret? I like you best :) honestly. and I’m a public speaker married to an actor so I know what I’m talking about :) We’re good thank you.

…any more of these of Frosty and the Alan-man where these come from? Would like to know. Prayers going up for you and the delightful Deb!

Alan…somehow this is the first time I have seen or heard Mike. And when I saw how long it was, I thought, “Yikes, I’ve got to go to sleep!” But once it started, I just couldn’t stop ’til he finished. And tears welled up in my eyes and a big lump formed in my throat and I longed to wake up everyone in my house and…and…wow.

What a year it has been, my friend, following along with the sending God and participating with Christ in what he is doing and refining my vision to recognize the trace of God is all us cracked Eikons…it’s not long now…don’t wait; be patient…just a little longer.

Thanks for sharing this, Alan. Very powerful, indeed.

    Be blessed.

Thanks Alan. I’ve linked to this on my blog - I think (hope?) that it is going to upset lots of my friends!

Great link. Have posted it on one of the denominational discussion boards.

Eddie - Frost is always a good guy to link to if you want to upset the apple cart hehe.

Peggy - Frost’s stuff is not very readily available online, it’s mostly linked to by third (fourth) parties. But there are a couple mp3 series’ floating around out there that are worth a listen

    Good vid. Thanks.

How come most church planters today seem to be bald with gotees? Ha ha. It’s making me think I’m not cut out for church planting since I have no facial hair, and I’m growing my hair out.

  11. Makeesha Fisher on November 28th, 2007 2:37 am

Jeremy - hehe…my husband and I talk about that a lot. But Alan here doesn’t even come close to being bald so you have an ally ;)

Keep yur hair! Long live the hippies!

Guys, you can get some stuff of Frosty, myself, and Hugh Halter, from Missio guys.

I loved it, good message, hugely important.

One thing I noticed right away was that Missio Dei described the character of God. Is Jesus not the best example of this? Harold Bloom wrote a book called “Jesus and Yahweh” which compared the the two and contrasted them. Isn’t it time a christian writes a book about the characters of Jesus and Yahweh? It would make a great apologetic. The Missio Dei would be a perfect part of that. Those are my thoughts.

Great message. Good, good stuff. Thanks for the link. I’ll enjoy discovering other videos of Frost - It’s helpful to see a face and hear a voice to put to the words you read.

Isaiah, I wonder if you’d enjoy N.T. Wright’s, ‘Jesus and the Victory of God’, if you haven’t already?

    Peggy and others,
I have links to this video and other resources by Michael Frost on the Resource page at my blog. There is a part 2 to this video, also a couple of series of mp3’s and a few articles. They are on the page titled *Recommended* under the heading Missional.

Sorry to plug my blog, but I thought since I have all of the links there that maybe I should share.

Alan, Frosty gave me a bit of an update on the book when I last bumped into him. When are you going to start spilling some of the beans on that. Go on, get into the Christmas spirit!
