how you like?

I am in Portugal, just finished a great conference with Christian Associates (a church planting movement in Europe.  I am on leadership team) I am utterly wasted, and this is the first time I have been able to look over the new site.  What do you think?  There is a little more ironing out to do, but I like.  I’ll eventually get around to posting again soon.

Oh dear . . . but I hope you actually want people to be honest!
Sorry Alan but it looks like a classic case of being too clever for its own good - the graphics are all over the place ( just one example is I can’t read what I typing at the moment becuase it is obscured by a graphic) As principally a man of words it is essential that your words are visable and clear - rather than obscured or backed by graphics which make everything hard to read.

Incidentally I am using Firefox on Mac OS10.4 on a 19″ screen so it is not sime problem with a grotty laptoo ( hope that last word is spelt right cos I can’t see it again)

General principal has to be that it is pointless the site looking pretty or cool if we can’t read what you have written which is the important thing.

    Alan,

The new graphic layout makes the content difficult to read…

I like the new “look and feel.” Much cleaner and easier to read.

I like the new site! It took me a bit to adjust to the new feel however, it is much cleaner and I am intrigued by the graphics in the background. Reading seems to be easier but I must confess that the reply text box does run over into the side bar material. I am assuming of course that this is as you mentioned due to the final kinks being worked out. Great site all around though Alan! Blessings!:)

I know you still have a few wrinkles to work out, but overall I like the new look!

I’m not sure if Tom meant to imply that my liking the new look was because I was just trying to be nice and not therefore be honest. But just in case, I just wanted to restate that I like to new “look”. As Alen said “There is a little more ironing out to do” but over all I think the effect is good.

Len - I too am waiting eagerly for ‘ReJesus’, I asked Michael Frost about it on Facebook and he said:

“Just submitted the final draft to our publisher. They’re saying they’re aiming for a 2008 release.”

The topic of Christology shapping Ecclesiology has really been on my mind allot of late and the focus or a few ‘Discussions’ I’ve found myself having. Looking forward to reading the book.

I like it - it feels very “Orbiting The Giant Hairball”-esque. I like the chaotic feel of it, too. For what it’s worth, I’m running Firefox on Mac platforms and I can see everything fine.

I am going to be naughty and say I was reminded of BoohBah, the kids show on ABC, you know the one about all the dancing aliens. I was the colored circles you see. Very psychodelic. I’ll crawl back to my corner now :-0 Finished being naughty.

I like it, except for the text on top of the graphic. Maybe I’m easily distracted but for me, it is hard to read.

Love the content. Not so keen on the new design. (Again, a case of text over graphic.)

Your previous design had the feel of an extention of your book. Maybe you’re wanting to move away form that now??
