off to oz
Debs and I return home to Oz for about 3 weeks! A time to catchup with friends and family and to mix with our tribe, Forge. I love them tons and always look forward to being with them. Above is the event we will be attending with a few other missional nutcases (Andrew “Tall Skinny Kiwi” Jones, Sally Morgenthaler, Steve Timms, Ray Simson Mark Sayers, Steve Said, Mike Frost, Deb Hirsch, etc.) . Check out the site listed above. It will be great. For those close enough, it is an event not to be missed.
I hope we can get to see many of our Aussie mates on our time in Melbourne.

And a visit with sweet Ruby, eh?
The Abbess sends you blessings, that God would grant you special travel mercies, health and energy as you return to those you love and have missed.
I will be interested to hear how your perspectives have changed since you have been away….

Any regulars planning to be there. I know Celtic Son and perhaps Janet will be. Any other takers?

Yep, Celtic Son is for sure. Hey, if you’re coming perhaps we can arrange a special workshop on NRM Mattie

Alan,
Have a great time! It’s awesome when your work is your joy!
On a side note, I just found out something interesting. I’ve been trying to understand our more traditional/conservative side of the denomination where I worship. Just found out Leonard Sweet is coming to speak at a convention with our theologians in August.
It is exciting and challenging, this edge causes alot of fear and pain for many, but it is also a very hopeful sign.

I’ll be there…
there are five of us from the Transmission network in Sydney heading down - flying down Friday lunchtime, returning Monday evening and aiming to have some Hirschy New Wine for breaky on Monday morn after the festival… we’ll also be interested to know how Alan’s perspectives have changed.
