1. ONLINE TRAINING COURSE AROUND TFW’s

I and a colleague Lance Ford, have developed an online training course using a ‘learning cafe’ as well as a discussion board environment. It is a great resource for cultivating apostolic imagination and practice in Western contexts.

You can now do this course for credit at Biblical Seminary.  Here is a course description. Course Description Bib Sem

As to format and educational philosophy of course  we have decided to…

• standardize it to a more intensive 8 week format (instead of the extended 16 or 32 weeks)
• focus our online cafe (audio-visual learning environment) on application and praxis instead of more theory and chew on the theory on the bulletin boards and posts that are the integral part of the process
• host smaller groups to encourage more interactive learning and comradeship (from 5-8 per cohort)
• each cohort will be made up of more peer based participants (instead of heaving everyone into the same room) allowing for particular interests to be highlighted. E.g. denominational/translocal leaders, pioneering church planters, incarnational missionaries, senior ministers, etc. will be grouped together as much as possible.
• make it less “lecture‚” style and much more interactive around interpreting the material itself. Less of me and more of you.
• group it as part of the fantastic Missio MCAP program
• deliver the above for a much more modest US$350.
• we will host it on the shapevine online campus which uses cutting edge technology to deliver ideas that change the world.
• we are close to getting accreditation from a number of seminaries in the US
